Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is a former professor of Law and Head of Department of Islamic Jurisprudence and Legislation at the University of the Punjab. He is also the founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, which has branches and centres in more than 90 countries. He studied classical Islamic sciences under eminent scholars around the world, including Mecca, Medina, Syria, Baghdad, Lebanon, Morocco, India and Pakistan, and has received around 500 authorities and chains of transmission in the various branches of Islamic knowledge. About the Author

Anne D'Alleva is Associate Professor of Art History and Women's Studies at the University of Connecticut. Her publications include Look! The Fundamentals of Art History (Prentice Hall) and Art of the Pacific Islands (Harry N. Abrams, Perspectives series), as well as Look Again! Art History and Critical Theory (Prentice Hall) and Sacred Maidens and Masculine Women: Art, Gender, and Power in Post-Contact Tahiti (University of Hawai'i Press). She has held grants from the Getty Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Professor D'Alleva received her A.M. and Ph.D. in Art History from Columbia University, where she also completed a Graduate Certificate in Feminist Theory from the Center for Research on Women and Gender, and her A.B. in Fine Arts (art history) from Harvard University.

About the Author

Sara Baase is a Professor of Computer Science at San Diego State University, and has been teaching CS for 25 years. Dr. Baase is a three-time recipient of the San Diego State University Alumni Association's Outstanding Faculty Award, and she has written a number of textbooks in the areas of algorithms, assembly language and social and ethical issues related to computing. She earned her doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley. Allen Van Gelder is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he has been teaching CS for 12 years. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Stanford University, and is a past recipient of the Presidential Young Investigator Award.
